Betsy Vohs founded the architecture and design firm Studio BV in 2015 to dedicate her ideas and energy to clients who want transformational design solutions. Her 16-person studio has garnered national and international recognition. Accolades include being named one of Twin Cities Business’s Top 100 People of 2021, a Top Woman in Architecture 2021, MSP Business Journal’s Top Women in Business in 2018 and one of Bisnow’s Power Women in Real Estate 2021. Studio BV’s work has been featured in numerous publications including Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Design book 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Vohs started Design Forward, which is the pro-bono division of the firm’s practice focused on doing design work for mission-driven organizations. To date, Design Forward has helped over 50 organizations leverage design to change the Twin Cities community. Studio BV was the first ever design and architecture firm to be honored with the Twin Cities Business Community Impact Award in 2023 for their pro-bono design work.

Vohs has a Master of Architecture from the University of MN and a Bachelor of Science in Design from Arizona State University. She is the Treasurer of the University of Minnesota Board of Alumni. She is also on the Cystic Fibrosis Board of the MN-Dakotas chapter.

Jessica Stoe – Brand Director, Gardner Builders

Jessica joined Gardner Builders in 2013, deeply resonating with the company’s people-centric approach. Having immigrated from South Africa, Jess was looking to be a part of a company that would be receptive to her diverse perspective. Having graduated from Nelson Mandela University with a degree in Media and Communications, Jess knew little about the construction industry, but her passion for the industry, process, and people proved to be a great match, and the company guided her through learning the role of Project Management. In 2016, Jessica stepped into the Marketing & Brand Lead role, and she has continued to cultivate the brand of Gardner Builders ever since. With a deep desire to ensure that the company of 200+ employees follows through on its brand promises to its clients, communities, and partners consistently, Jess co-leads the efforts to fulfill Gardner’s commitment to being a place where people feel valued, challenged, and love to come to work.

Jessica hopes her work remains organic, inclusive, and creative, growing opportunities for all people within the construction industry. Her desire matches Gardner’s; to change the construction industry by becoming the platinum standard by which all others are measured.

Barry Stoffel – Integrator, Gardner Builders

Barry became fascinated with construction at the age of 8 when his young mind tried relentlessly to solve the complex mysteries that the built environment portrayed. This curiosity led him to study Construction Management and Business Management at Mankato State University. Soon after graduating, he began his career as a project manager at Greiner Construction. Barry proudly sought out new clients, built Greiner’s portfolio, and took pride in never letting anyone down – which is why Bob knew he’d be a perfect fit to help lead Gardner’s growth. After becoming a partner in 2016, Barry began to work on diversifying the company’s T.I. portfolio to include a wider range of construction sectors. Barry’s current role is to focus on business cohesion, connecting all components, people, and departments within the organization for the best possible outcomes.
