Watercolor and Pattern Making
Lisbon is an oceanfront city that uses handmade tiles to protect the exterior of the buildings and tell historical stories. In this workshop we will use stories as well as watercolor and sketching techniques to inspire the creation of your own tile pattern.
As part of her NCEF award from the IIDA Northland Chapter, Deidre Webster committed to bringing back inspiration from her travels through Europe and leading a professional development session for our IIDA members. IIDA Northland is very excited to have Deidre – who is a former art instructor – teach sketching and watercolor classes, which are inspired by her architectural experience in cities like Lisbon and Barcelona. She will be showing imagery from her trip and talking about what inspired her as she teaches watercolor and sketching techniques.
All materials will be supplied, light food and beverages will be served.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for questions and event sponsorship opportunities.
This will is the first class in a two class series. Separate registration is required for each class. Check back for event updates on the second class.

Any members who have registered for a Forum but do not attend will be charged the non-member fee for the event. To avoid this charge, contact the IIDA Northland Chapter via email within 48 hours of the program informing us you can’t attend. The goal of Forums programs is to have as many people attend the programs as possible. Due to capacity limits at events, programs often sell out quickly. Keeping our no-shows to as small as possible allows the program to be well attended and a success.
Refunds will not be provided for members or non-members unless the event is cancelled.
