Observational Drawing Workshop

Anton Gaudi’s work is an example of how a concept is expressed in every detail of a space while also focusing on the function and human experience. The exterior and interior have a seamless relationship the embodies the concept often inspired by the natural world. In this workshop we will practice observational drawing and scientific illustration.

As part of her NCEF award from the IIDA Northland Chapter, Deidre Webster committed to bringing back inspiration from her travels through Europe and leading a professional development session for our IIDA members. IIDA Northland is very excited to have Deidre – who is a former art instructor – teach sketching and watercolor classes, which are inspired by her architectural experience in cities like Lisbon and Barcelona. She will be showing imagery from her trip and talking about what inspired her as she teaches watercolor and sketching techniques.

All materials will be supplied, light food and beverages will be served.
Please contact prodev@iida-northland.org for questions and event sponsorship opportunities.
