Amanda St. Jacque, NELSON

Years in the field: 12

Area of focus: Workplace Office Design

Additional experience: Hospitality/Food & Beverage, Flexible & Modular spaces, Activity-Based Work Programs

Exams taken: FX, PX, PRAC

Study Tip: Join a study group -Talking out loud, asking questions, and learning from others is a great way to help memorize more material, and it might even provide positive support when you need it most.

I have been engaged in the design of a variety of projects including corporate, law offices, multi-tenant public areas, retail, and hospitality. I have supported projects during every phase of the design process, resulting in over 2M square feet I’ve designed in my career.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota. I love problem solving for clients and I’ve been told I’m highly supportive and enthusiastic about my work, teammates, and clients.

Marie Hastings, Acre

Years in the field: 7

Area of focus: Interior Design and Furniture Sales

Additional experience: Interior Design of workplace and multi-tenant public areas.

Exams taken: FX, PX, PRAC

Study Tip: Sign up for Q Practice. Taking multiple practice tests before the exam will help you get used to the process and guide you in time management. In addition, don’t be afraid to take all three tests separately. As designers, our work schedule can already be demanding, and spacing out the three exams can help relieve stress. Remember you are doing this for your career, studying for one test alone can feel like a part-time job.

I have a variety of experiences throughout many different cities in the United States mainly including: Washington, DC., Northern Virginia, Los Angeles, and Minnesota, all in which present different code restrictions. I have 6 years of interior design experience where my main focus has been workplace design and building repositions. I enjoy working with clients to enhance the employee and tenant experience. Throughout my design career, I have earned the following awards: IIDA FAB Awards, NAIOP Awards of Excellence, and Top Project by Finance and Commerce.  I have recently transitioned into the furniture sector of our industry,  where I still use my NCIQD knowledge every day.
