Industry Chair

First of all, I would like to welcome the new Industry Chair elect Julie Nelson from DIRTT. She will make a great addition to the Board. Judging by the StrengthsFinder exercise we as Board members participated in at our last Board Retreat, our strengths complement each other well!

This year so far has been a successful one from an events standpoint. The FAB Awards had Nick Nelson take over as chair with Eric Benedict as his co-chair and as many of you had witnessed, it was wildly successful! Eric Benedict will be stepping down as co-chair this year so if anyone is interested in participating on the FAB Awards committee, please contact Nick Nelson at Nick.Nelson@formica.com.

MinneCon is right around the corner and this event is going to be bigger and better than ever! As of July 20th, we had a total of 107 vendor participating. Eric Lovestrand has done a great job of putting this together with his committee and is excited to see the fruits of his labor come to completion on July 29th at The Depot in Minneapolis.

The IIDA Summer Party “Dr. Calagari’s Dance Party” will take place on July 30th at The Lab Theatre. Mr. Nick Luzietti’s artistic vision requires one to think outside of the box and seek inspiration from dreams, emotions and imagination, lifting ordinary projects to the level of art. One may consider this the "fifth dimension of design". The tickets for this event have been going fast, so please visit IIDA Northland’s website to purchase your tickets in advance for this once in a lifetime experience!
