At this Forum on February 6, 2012, Dan Schowengerdt, principal of Schowengerdt Consulting, reviewed Lean and other workflow improvement methods, discussed how these methods can be used as a lead strategy in facility design and shared lessons learned.

About this Forum:
Dan Schowengerdt, principal of Schowengerdt Consulting, is a process improvement consultant, supporting health care provider organizations by embedding Work Flow, Lean Theory and other improvement concepts, facilitating change management and redesigning care models.
Dan is a former health care executive with a deep background in hospital and clinic operations and successful applications of improvement methods. He holds advanced degrees in Health Care Administration from the University of Missouri and Industrial Engineering and Systems Management from the University of Southern California.
An aspect of his consulting practice is integrating workflow improvement into the design of new or renovated facilities.
Dan will review Lean and other workflow improvement methods, will discuss how these methods can be used as a lead strategy in facility design and share lessons learned.

Effective 5/5/11, ALL Forums programs will be charging IIDA Northland member no-show registrations the applicable non-member fee. To avoid this charge, you will need to contact the IIDA Northland Chapter via email within 48hrs of the program informing us you can't attend.
The goal of Forums programs is to have as many people attend the programs as possible. Due to capacity limits at events, programs often sell out quickly. Keeping our no-shows to as small as possible allows the program to be well attended and a success.
