Out with the shag and in with the new - Originally constructed in the mid-50’s, this house was built as a four-bedroom ‘starter’ home with a relentless series of small utilitarian rooms and no focus. First uncovering, and then working with its few hidden jewels, this virtual gut-job plus addition completely transformed this into a house of light, energy and volumes; connecting in-doors to out. More so, the nature of living space was challenged, bringing loft-like sensibilities of ‘indefinite’ space into the realm of single-family living.
