VISION 2020  Virtual Event

Join IIDA Northland for a Special 2020 VISION Event with Nora McInerny and Doug Marshall.   During this virtual event, you will spend a few hours of your morning learning how to navigate emotionally tough times and take a little dance break too!

Nora McInerny is the best-selling author of the memoirs It’s Okay To Laugh, (Crying Is Cool Too), No Happy Endings, and The Hot Young Widows Club. She hosts the award-winning podcast Terrible, Thanks for Asking, spoke on TED’s mainstage and founded the non-profit Still Kickin. She has contributed to publications like Time, Slate and Vox, where she’s often tapped for her essays highlighting the emotional landscape and humor in complex topics, like the financial impacts of healthcare and grief in a digital age. Nora is a master storyteller known for her dedication to bringing heart and levity to the difficult and uncomfortable conversations most of us try to avoid, and also for being very tall. She was voted Most Humorous by the Annunciation Catholic School Class of 1997.

Doug Marshall is a local Minnesotan writer, motivational coach and creative branding consultant. He helps individuals, groups, and businesses “clean up their energy” through Mindset + Meditation Workshops so they can feel good, be present, and live abundantly. By sharing tools that take 30 seconds to 3 minutes, Doug will help raise your energy or calm you down to get in the flow no matter where you are. Come see how Doug introduces movement/breathing/visualization and meditation techniques that are fun and memorable!
