Student Event

Ignite creativity! The third annual SPARK event is a design charrette that allows students to come together to explore ideas, share experiences, and spark connections. This design competition provides a great opportunity for students to collaborate and ignite creative solutions based on the selected design challenge.

What is a charrette?

For the Spark charrette, students will work with a partner to solve a design challenge.  In a set amount of time, you and your partner will come up with a creative design solution.  You will be given the project parameters and some design tools.  Students can bring inspiration images, and any design tools they prefer to use. Some of the things you will need to create could include sketches, plans, and details.  At the end of the competition, you will create a project board that shows your solution to the design problem.
