Fusion+Fashion is back and will be held at First Avenue on Friday, November 9, 2018. Local members of the design community will compete in a non-traditional, project runway style fashion show where garments are created out of non-traditional building materials. #babyimastar
Here is everything you need to know before you go!
Arriving to the Show!
The event will be held at First Avenue on Friday, November 9, 2018.
Please enter through the main entrance. The doors open at 7:00 PM.
Tickets are going FAST!. If there are tickets available you will be able to buy them at the box office. Tickets can be purchased with cash, VISA, Discover, or Mastercard. Once inside the venue, cash, VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted.
There is coat check in the venue for a small fee.
Bring your ID! You will check in with your name and ID.
Bring Student ID (if you purchased student tickets).
If you are getting a comp (certain IIDA Sponsors) for the event, First Avenue staff must have your name to allow entry. Please note: IIDA Northland is NOT responsible for lost tickets or missing names for comps.
**Rideshare is encouraged as there are events in the area, downtown will be bumpin’**

The show starts at 8:00, so make sure to grab a drink and find the perfect spot to watch the show!
The night continues after the Awards with a Transmission dance party with Dj Jake Rudh presented by J&J Flooring Group.
Dance the night away until 2AM.

Meet The Host:
Matt Belanger is an Emmy-award winning anchor and reporter at 5 EYEWITNESS News KSTP-TV in the Twin Cities. He moved to the Twin Cities in 2016 from Atlanta, GA where he worked as an anchor and reporter for WSB-TV. Matt also worked previously at WTAE in Pittsburgh, PA and WGAL-TV in Lancaster, PA. He’s no stranger to the Midwest though – he started his career at KELO-TV in Sioux Falls, SD. Matt graduated with honors from Elon University in North Carolina where he studied communications and political science. Over the years, Matt has received many awards for his investigative work, including four regional Emmy Awards, five first-place awards from the Associated Press, and is a proud member of the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association. Matt may be a Pennsylvania native, but he’s excited to be living in the Twin Cities.
Meet The Judges:
Emily “Emmi” Baynard is a Creative Director and Stylist who creates incredible content for modern retail brands as Co-Owner of Watt Second Studios. Along with being a trend and style expert, she is also a “professional enthusiast”, always at the ready with a dose of empathy and inspiration. Emmi has been bringing creative excellence and strategic problem-solving to the local fashion scene since the days of MNFashion. She is a former Sr. Advisor to Fashion Week MN and her work has been published in Artful Living, MSP Mag, Elegant Magazine, The Volk Magazine, and she has been featured in the Twin Cities Business. Jayne Haugen Olson
As editor in chief of Mpls.St.Paul magazine, Jayne leads a team of 22 writers, editors, and designers who create the most-read magazine in the Twin Cities. A 25-year veteran of local publishing, Jayne was instrumental in developing the magazine’s blueprint for trend and lifestyle coverage and providing editorial strategy for launches of Mpls.St.Paul Weddings, and Mpls.St.Paul Home & Design. Jayne was recognized in 2017 by FOLIO: Top Women in Media for her numerous industry accomplishments
As head of marketing for branding and design firm Little & Company, Traci crafts and shares the Little message with the world. A passionate storyteller, Traci connects with partners and prospects via a shared love for design and true business results. Under Traci’s watch, Little has been named a Small Agency of the Year by Ad Age, featured in FastCo. Design, and has grown its client list to include the likes of U.S. Bank, Gap, PepsiCo, Securian Financial, and Habitat for Humanity International.

Meet The Performers
Known as the Neon Queen of the Twin Cities, Alana Chapelle has been performing for three and a half years. You can see her every Wednesday night at the Basement Bar entertaining crowds at Drag Queen Blingo.
Onya Deek Richards
With a love of performance and being able to give back to the community, Onya Deek Richards has been on stage for two years. In the past year, Onya has been honored to work with the Imperial Cour of Minnesota in addition to holding the current reigning title of Princess Royale 26. You can catch her hosting Drag Queen Blingo every Tuesday at the Nomad and every Wednesday at the Basement Bar!
