IIDA Specialty Forums
What Is A Specialty Forum?
IIDA Specialty Forums provide our members with the opportunity to gain detailed insights into specific markets and areas of concentration. The Forums offer a venue for discussion and dissemination of information on trends, problem-solving strategies and perspectives on current or developing areas of design practice. Each Forum promotes client awareness of the importance and value achieved through retaining knowledgeable, experienced professional interior designers. The Forums also provide the chance to work directly with other professionals in similar fields, offering outstanding contacts, access to exclusive resources, and the expertise of others.
The International Forums’ mission is to provide the environment for the mutual development and exchange of knowledge within and among specific areas of interior design practice.

Corporate Forum provides the corporate designer with information exchange and opportunities for professional development and promotes awareness of the positive effects on productivity and profitability achieved through high-quality design. Areas of practice include:

Education and Research Forum advances the interior design profession by promoting education and advocating the pursuit of scholarly inquiry through philosophic discussion, research and creative performance that support:

• collaborative efforts among interior design practitioners, educators, and industry members
Government Forum enhances the quality of interior design in public and government facilities through professional advocacy,
