Senior Vice-President of HKS Maregatti Interiors, Ana Pinto-Alexander has more than 25 years of experience designing interiors for the country's most progressive health care facilities. A childhood in Colombia, South America in combination with extensive international travel has influenced her unique design perspective.
Ana's extensive research in healthcare design has anchored her belief that healing environments can greatly improve the hospital experience for the patient, their family, and the medical staff. Although healthcare design is a passion, she also has created interior designs for corporate, religious, educational and retail facilities.
Ana has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from Purdue University and has been a guest lecturer there. She is a member of the International Design Association and holds a certificate from the National Council for Interior Design.
Ana has juried Healthcare Design magazine's Architectural Showcase and Contract magazine's Healthcare Environment Awards. She has spoken nationally and internationally on the importance the built environment has in the healing process. The recipient of numerous awards for her interior design projects, she has also been featured in several national publications, including a cover story for Interiors and Sources and one of the "25 Most Influential People in Healthcare Design" by Healthcare Design Magazine.
Ana was a former board member of the Indianapolis Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Indianapolis Business Development Counsel. She is currently a member of the Hispanic Business Council, a Riley Children's Society Member and a Board Member for the Indiana Repertory Theater.

Viveca Bissonnette, FIIDA, Assoc AIA, LEED-AP, CID
Vice President and Design Principal, Hollander Design Group - San Diego, CA
With over 25 years of experience in the fields of Cultural Anthropology and Interior Design, Viveca Bissonnette
brings a broad depth of experience and knowledge to her professional responsibilities. As Vice President and
Design Principal at Hollander Design Group she serves in numerous capacities providing design services and is
involved in all phases of the design process. Her diverse background allows her to uniquely serve her clients. This
results in a thoughtful design solution based on a strategic approach taking in to consideration the culture of the
workplace, economic factors, aesthetics and schedule. Project types she has been involved with have ranged
from remodel to new construction for both the private and public sectors.
Outside of Hollander Design Group, Viveca is actively involved in the design community. She is immediate Past-President of the International Interior Design Association, (IIDA) and currently still holds the title of Vice President on the International Board of Directors at IIDA. In addition she is a member of both Perspective Magazine and Interiors and Sources magazine Editorial Advisory Boards. Viveca has held numerous board positions for IIDA and other
organizations such as the San Diego Architectural Foundation (SDAF) and the California Council for Interior Design
Certification (CCIDC). She has participated as a judge in many national and global interior design competitions and
has been featured in numerous publications as well as authored several articles. In 2004, she was recognized as
one of ten designers to watch in the country as part of IIDA's 10 year anniversary celebrations, for her project work,
her service to the community, and her commitment to professionalism. In 2011 Viveca was inducted in to IIDA's
College of Fellows for her achievements and contributions to the profession and the Association. It is the highest
and most prestigious honor IIDA bestows.

Susan Szenasy
Editor in Chief, Metropolis Magazine
Susan S. Szenasy is editor in chief of Metropolis magazine, the award-winning New York City-based magazine of architecture, culture, and design. Since 1986 she has lead the magazine through 24 years of landmark design journalism, achieving international recognition and winning numerous awards. Believing that design and architecture are humanist activities, Szenasy is committed to education. She is a frequent lecturer and panel moderator on broad-ranging design topics and the leader behind Metropolis's various design conferences. As a longtime professor of design ethics at New York's Parsons The New School for Design she has worked to instill the values of responsible sustainability in the next generation.
