Dear IIDA Northland Members, Community, and guests,
Due to the growing concern surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) and recommendations by local and federal health officials, IIDA Northland will be postponing all previously scheduled in-person events effective Monday, March 16th through Friday, April 17th. Additionally, we will be assessing future events as new information emerges.
Like you, we prioritize the safety of our members, guests, and staff so we are taking this step both to prevent the spread of infection and to do our part in ensuring that our healthcare system is not overwhelmed with a large number of individuals presenting symptoms at the same time, something known as “flattening the curve.”
What this means for you, our community members, and guests:
- Registered attendees for March and April events with paid tickets will receive a refund within the next 7 days.
- The IIDA Northland board, committees and other volunteers are currently and will continue to work virtually until further notice.
- We are currently exploring how to offer programming and content via digital forums. Additional information will be provided separately should this become an option for any of our events.
We know that you all are in the midst of organizational changes and new business processes meant to support your staff, clients, and coworkers in this time of uncertainty. Know that your partners at IIDA Northland are with you, and if you have questions or concerns regarding events you have registered for, please feel free to contact our Administrative team or Board of Directors for assistance. We are actively monitoring the situation and will continue to update you as we know more.
It is increasingly important to take care of your physical and mental health. We encourage you to reach out to your general health care provider or mental health provider if you have questions or need support.
Mari Ansera, CID, IIDA
IIDA Northland President
